Thanks to your voice in support of the dignity of human life, Governor Jindal yesterday signed two landmark bills drafted by Bioethics Defense Fund. From the Governor’s official press release:

Governor Jindal thanked Rep. Jackson and Rep. Hoffman for authoring these key pieces of legislation, as well as Dorinda Bordlee, senior counsel of Bioethics Defense Fund, and Benjamin Clapper, the executive director of Louisiana Right to Life, for their work on the bill and on protecting life in Louisiana.

The two bills that Governor Jindal signed in a special bill-signing ceremony include:

1. a bill to require abortion providers to have hospital admitting privileges and abide by other health and safety standards (HB 388 by Rep. Jackson), and
2. a bill that prohibits abortion providers like http://viagranewonlineproduct.com/ Planned Parenthood from providing instruction or materials in public or charter schools (HB 305 by Rep. Hoffmann).

As stated in the official press release:

Bioethics Defense Fund Vice President and Senior Counsel Dorinda C. Bordlee said, “The Bioethics Defense Fund is proud to have collaborated with the Governor and Louisiana legislators to develop cutting-edge legislation that can be customized for other states.”

Louisiana Right to Life Executive Director Ben Clapper said, “The overwhelming and bipartisan passage of this life-protective legislation shows that Louisiana continues to be a model for the nation what it means for lawmakers to be both pro-woman and pro-life.”
